Techniq ("Techniq", "we", "us", or "our") is a SaaS platform providing AI-powered lead qualification, conversation, and engagement tools for real estate professionals. Techniq is operated from the United Arab Emirates.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you (a) visit our website, (b) sign up for or use our Service, or (c) otherwise interact with us.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to two distinct categories of individuals:

• Clients — real estate agents, brokers and agencies who sign up for and use the Techniq Service. Personal data of Clients is processed by Techniq as a data controller.
• Leads — end-consumers (prospective property buyers, sellers, renters) who interact with Techniq's AI tools deployed on a Client's website, WhatsApp number or phone line. Personal data of Leads is processed by Techniq as a data processor on behalf of the Client, who acts as data controller.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, company / agency name, role, password (hashed).
• Billing information: billing name, address, country and tax identifiers. Card details are processed by Paddle and never stored on our systems.
• Onboarding configuration: business hours, listing details, lead-handling preferences, calendar integrations.
• Support communications: any information you choose to send us via email or in-app messaging.

3.2 Information Generated Through Use of the Service

• Conversation content: messages exchanged between Leads and the Techniq AI on a Client's website, WhatsApp or phone.
• Voice call recordings and transcripts where calls are routed through our voice AI, subject to applicable consent requirements.
• Lead profile data: name, email, phone, budget, timeline, property preferences and other information Leads share during conversations.
• Usage data: log files, IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring/exit pages, time stamps, click data.
• Email engagement data: opens, clicks and bounces from emails we send (via tracking pixels).

3.3 Information from Third Parties

• Sales prospect data obtained from B2B contact-data providers (e.g., Apollo) used solely to contact real estate professionals about Techniq, in compliance with applicable laws.
• Authentication providers (where used) for sign-in.
• Payment processor (Paddle) for billing confirmations.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information for the following purposes:

• Provide the Service — create accounts, deliver AI features, enable integrations, send transactional notifications.
• Lead engagement on behalf of Clients — respond to, qualify and follow up with Leads via website, WhatsApp, voice and email.
• Billing and payments — process subscriptions through Paddle, handle invoices, taxes and refunds.
• Customer support — respond to questions, troubleshoot issues, deliver onboarding.
• Service improvement — analyse aggregated usage, fix bugs, improve AI quality. Where we use conversation content for model improvement, we de-identify the data first.
• Marketing — send product updates, newsletters and outbound sales communications, subject to applicable consent and opt-out laws (see Cookies & Tracking).
• Security & fraud prevention — detect, investigate and prevent abuse, unauthorized access and security incidents.
• Legal compliance — comply with applicable laws, respond to lawful requests and protect our legal rights.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Contract performance — to provide the Service you signed up for.
• Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, improve and market the Service, balanced against your rights.
• Consent — for non-essential cookies, marketing emails to consumers, and other processing where consent is required.
• Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

6. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as described below:

• With Clients — Lead data captured through a Client's deployment of the Service is shared with that Client (the agent or agency).
• With Sub-processors — service providers that help us deliver the Service, under written agreements (see Section 7).
• For legal reasons — if required by law, court order or to protect rights, safety, or property.
• In a business transaction — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, with notice to you.
• With your consent — for any other purpose not described in this Policy.

We do not share personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7. Third-Party Sub-Processors

We use the following sub-processors to operate the Service. Each is bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

This list may be updated as our infrastructure evolves. Material changes to our sub-processor list will be communicated by updating this page and the "Last updated" date.

8. International Data Transfers

Because we operate globally, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own — including the United Arab Emirates, the United States, the European Union and the United Kingdom.

Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, UK or Switzerland to a country that has not been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where relevant, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting and reporting requirements. Typical retention periods:

• Account data — for the duration of your subscription, plus 90 days after termination.
• Lead conversation logs and recordings — for as long as the Client account remains active, unless the Client requests earlier deletion.
• Billing records — up to 7 years for tax and accounting compliance.
• Email outreach logs — until opt-out, then suppressed indefinitely on a do-not-contact list.
• Server logs and security logs — up to 12 months.

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

10. Security

We implement administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for database storage, access controls, audit logging and the principle of least privilege.

No security control is perfect. If we become aware of a personal data breach affecting you, we will notify you and any applicable supervisory authority in line with our legal obligations.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Restrict or object to certain processing.
• Port your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
• Opt out of marketing communications.
• Lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

12. GDPR Rights (EU / UK Users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the GDPR / UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data. In addition to the rights listed in Section 11, you have the right to:

• Not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects (see Section 15).
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

We do not currently have an EU-based representative. EU/UK users may contact us directly at techniqqai@gmail.com for any GDPR-related request.

13. CCPA / CPRA Rights (California Users)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act) grants you the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Delete — subject to lawful exceptions.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

• Identifiers (name, email, phone).
• Commercial information (subscription and payment records).
• Internet or network activity (usage data, cookies, pixel data).
• Geolocation (approximate, derived from IP).
• Audio/electronic information (voice call recordings, where applicable).
• Professional / employment information (role, agency).
• Inferences (lead scores and engagement profiles).

Sale or Sharing

We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact techniqqai@gmail.com. We respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension where reasonably necessary. You may designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.

14. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without verified parental consent, we will delete it promptly.

15. AI & Automated Decisions

The Service uses artificial intelligence to qualify Leads, generate responses and prioritise follow-up. Lead scoring is statistical — it ranks likelihood of conversion based on conversation signals — and is intended to assist, not replace, the Client's professional judgment.

The Service does not make legally significant decisions about Leads (such as approving credit, leases or housing applications) without human involvement. Clients remain solely responsible for any final decision affecting a Lead.

16. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure and improve the Service, and to measure email engagement (open and click tracking). For full details on what cookies we use, how to manage them and your consent options, see our Cookie Policy.

17. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice (such as an email or in-app banner). Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
